A leading design practice is seeking an experienced Site Inspector - Interior Design & Architecture to support the site delivery of a landmark luxury residential and hospitality development in Dubai. This is a site-based role focused on inspection, quality assurance, and compliance, ensuring architectural and interior works are executed in strict accordance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
Role Purpose
The Site Inspector will be responsible for monitoring on-site works related to architecture and interior design, ensuring construction and fit-out activities comply with approved drawings, materials, mock-ups, and specifications. The role requires strong site presence, excellent attention to detail, and solid knowledge of luxury fit-out and architectural execution in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Site Inspection & Quality Control
- Carry out regular site inspections to monitor architectural and interior works against approved drawings and specifications
- Ensure workmanship, finishes, and installations meet agreed quality standards and design intent
- Inspect mock-ups, sample rooms, and first-fix / second-fix installations for compliance
Compliance & Reporting
- Verify compliance with approved materials, finishes, and specifications
- Record site observations, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and progress updates
Drawings & Documentation
- Review architectural and interior shop drawings on site to verify compliance with issued-for-construction drawings
- Cross-check installations against approved material submittals and mock-ups
- Assist with as-built documentation and handover records
Coordination & Issue Resolution
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality or compliance issues
- Coordinate with site-based designers, architects, and project managers to resolve discrepancies
- Track closure of snags and corrective works
Handover & Close-Out
- Support snagging inspections, final quality reviews, and handover processes
- Assist in ensuring all interior and architectural works are completed to required standards prior to client handover
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7-10 years' site experience in architectural and interior inspection
- Proven experience on luxury residential and/or hospitality projects
- Strong Dubai or UAE site experience is essential
- Demonstrated understanding of construction and fit-out sequencing
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of architectural and interior construction details
- Good understanding of luxury materials, finishes, joinery, and FF&E installation
- Familiarity with UAE construction practices, site standards, and authority requirements
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and mock-ups accurately
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and digital inspection / reporting tools is an advantage
