This role is for a "creative powerhouse"-someone who doesn't just pick furniture but curates a bespoke sensory experience. You will lead the FF&E direction for some of the world's most prestigious 5 hotels, luxury resorts, and high-end F&B projects*, taking them from early concept narrative all the way to on-site styling.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Narrative: Lead the FF&E concept development, creating evocative mood boards, material palettes, and narratives that align with the overall interior architectural vision.
Bespoke Design: Design custom furniture, lighting, and carpets, working closely with artisans and manufacturers to ensure high-quality, unique results.
Specification Management: Oversee the production of comprehensive FF&E specifications, ensuring accuracy in schedules and budgets.
Supplier Relations: Utilize your extensive network of international and local Dubai suppliers to source unique materials and negotiate competitive pricing.
Client Presentations: Lead FF&E-focused presentations, confidently articulating the "why" behind your selections to high-profile clients and hotel operators.
Procurement & Delivery: Collaborate with procurement agents and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained through the purchasing and installation phases.
On-Site Styling: Lead the final "dressing" and styling of projects on-site, ensuring every detail is perfect for handover.
Requirements
Experience: 8-12 years of professional experience, with a heavy focus on luxury hospitality (5* hotels/resorts).
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a reputable university.
Creative Edge: A "stunning" portfolio showcasing original, creative, and sophisticated FF&E selections that go beyond "standard" catalogs.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Spexx (or similar software), AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop) is essential.
Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of global hospitality trends and an extensive database of high-end FF&E vendors/manufacturers.
Soft Skills: A confident, friendly, and professional demeanor. You must be a natural leader who can mentor junior designers and manage multiple stakeholders with ease.
Regional Experience: Previous experience in the Middle East is highly preferred, but an exceptional international hospitality background will be considered.
